ONE BOOK BERNARDS TOWNSHIP

Bernards Township Library will help celebrate the 250th Anniversary of Bernards Township by having area residents share the experience of reading the same book in 2010. The books from which to choose the One Book Bernards Township are in five categories and are displayed on the upper level of the Library.

Anyone who visits the Library is invited to vote for One Book Bernards Township in one of the following five (5) categories—depending on age. The book receiving the most votes in each category will be the One Book Bernards Township in that category. Voting will run through November 30, 2009.

The title that receives the most votes in each category will be announced in January 2010 and programs and activities will be planned based on the choices. Join in this shared experience of reading the same book and participating in related events.

• Adult—choose one book from 8 titles.
• Teen—choose one book from 4 titles.
• Tween—choose one book from 3 titles.
• K through Grade 4—choose one title from 3.
• Preschool—choose one book from 5.

Voters are asked to write the title of the book on a card (cards and pencils are in a box on the display table) and then drop the card in the appropriate container in front of the books. Staff members will provide help or answer questions for anyone needing assistance.
