Friday Night at the Opera : Fall 2004 Series with Director,
Robert W. Butts, Baroque Orchestra of North Jersey.
Enjoy a continuation of Prof. Robert W. Butts' "opera evenings" featuring lively commentary and
large-screen DVD scenes from the operas discussed. Explore operas from Handel to Britten with this
experienced lecturer, performer, composer, and conductor:
Robert W. Butts is the founder and director of The Baroque Orchestra of North Jersey,
currently based at Grace Church, Madison as ensemble in residence. In addition to an extensive teaching
and performance schedule, he has collaborated with The Little Opera Company of New Jersey over the past
several years in the production of opera classics from Don Giovanni to Tosca, and has served as guest
conductor in the state and abroad, most recently in St. Petersburg, Russia.
You may attend this lecture for a charge of $5.00 payable at the door.
This series is sponsored by the Friends of the Library.
Parking and entrance for this program is at the rear of the building.
