What Can I Do With MY ACCOUNT?

• View the items checked out and the due dates
• Find out if you owe fines or fees
• Request to RENEW titles
• Change your PIN
• Track the availability of your titles on HOLD

How Do I Access MY ACCOUNT?

• Go to www.bernardslibrary.org
• Select MY ACCOUNT
• Enter your Library Card Number
• Enter your PIN (usually the last four digits of your phone number; call the library if that does not work). Select Log In.

• Select My Account:

Select any of the following choices:
• Review My Account
• User PIN Change
• Renew My Materials

TROUBLESHOOTING

Access to my account was denied.

• Check your PIN number, usually the last four digits of your phone number; call the library if that does not work.
• Your Library card may have expired.

Renewing my titles was denied.

• Two renewals are allowed, the third renewal is denied.
• There may be HOLDS on the title placed by other patrons. Please return the item.
• There may be $5.00 or more in fines or bills on your account. Please call the Library.

Library Elf

LibraryElf is a free service that notifies you via email when your library materials are about to be due for return. It is independently run and not affiliated with Bernards Township Library. Here are instructions on signing up for the LibraryElf:

1. Go to www.libraryelf.com



2. Enter your email address, create a password and provide your name. You’ll also need to agree to the Terms of Use policy.



3. Enter the first and last name on your library card.



4. When asked to choose a library, select NJ-Morris Automated Information Network (this is our library consortium).



5. Type your library card number and PIN and click Save.



6. You can now add more library cards whose notifications will also be sent to the same email (this is a convenient way for families who use multiple library cards to keep track of what’s due) .
   
   
7. When finished, click Continue to Step 3.



8. Select how often you want to be notified, and click Finish to complete registration.



9. A confirmation email will be sent to you, and you must click on the link in the email to activate your account.
